FAQ for Vendors and Exhibitors

Do I have to pay a fee to exhibit my whirligigs or art?

Not at all! The exhibition for whirligigs and other wind-based art is absolutely free. All we ask is that you let us know in advance that you are coming so we can make sure to save space for you!

I’m not sure my art fits the festival. Can I come?

If you want to make sure the festival is a right fit for you and your work, just ask! While the festival is dedicated to Whirligigs and Weathervanes in particular, we’ve showcased sculptures and other folk art over the years, and we hope to become a yearly destination for folk artists of all kinds. However, all of our current exhibit space is outdoors in the elements - so that the wind can spin them, of course!

I’d like to become a vendor at the festival. What do I need?

The Town of Shelburne has graciously waived the vendor fees for the festival, and we do not charge a fee to participate! So all that means is you need to submit a notice of interest on our participation page, and we’ll get in touch with you about what you need in particular to make the festival a success for you and your business. We are most interested in vendors that have connections to whirligigs, art, and the local community. And don’t forget food! But if you don’t think you fit these parameters - apply anyway! We still want to hear from you and help you figure out if the festival is a good fit!

Are there any indoor spaces for vendors?

The Festival is held entirely outdoors on the waterfront, so we have no indoor vending spaces available. Though we prefer that vendors bring their own tables and tents, let us know if you need help sourcing these and we can see what we can do!
