Vendor Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor for the 21st Annual Whirligig & Weathervane festival! The festival is held at the waterfront on Dock Street in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, will run September 18-19, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Vendors will need to set up and take down their booths on each day. We expect the Covid-19 regulations in Nova Scotia to be in Phase 5 during the festival, which means no restrictions, but this is subject to change based on provincial regulations. As the festival is held outdoors, we expect to run the festival unless we are in full lockdown. Power is limited for vendor spaces. If you require power for your booth, please let us know what you need (including ampage) and we will see if we can accommodate you. Power hook-ups will come on a first-come first-served basis, so please let us know soon if this is a requirement for you.

Vending Agreement

- Vendors do not have to pay a fee to vend at the festival, either to the Festival or to the Town. (However, if you'd like to make a small donation to festival upkeep, we would be happy to accept!) - Vendors must bring their own tables and tents - unfortunately we do not have a supply of our own save for the information table. If you need help sourcing these, please don't hesitate to email us and we will help you find what you need. - Vendor agrees to follow direction of festival organizers, to be on site and set up for 10 am on both days of the festival, and to remain on site until 4 pm each day. Vendors will be placed according to product, with those carying whirligigs and weathervanes seated more centrally. ( A map of vendor placement will be made available a few days before the festival and emailed to all vendors. ) - Vendor agrees and acknowledges that other vendors may sell similar products to their own. - Vendor has obtained all necessary permits, vendor's insurance and licenses required to sell their product(s), to be shown upon request by festival organizers. (Vending fees and permits from the Town of Shelburne are waived for the festival and it's vendors, but other permits and licenses still apply.) - Vendor agrees to notify festival organizers if any of their submitted information should change, or if they will not be able to attend the festival. There is no cancellation fee, but please let us know as much ahead of time as possible so we can make adjustments to the map. - Vendor agrees to follow all Covid-19 restrictions as dictated by the Nova Scotia Provincial Government, up to and including the cancellation of the festival if full lock-down measures are put in place. We will be going ahead as long as outdoor gatherings can be held, and will be enforcing any guidelines required (such as social distancing and masks). - Any questions or concerns can be emailed to thewhirligigfestival@gmail.com
